From the world of the good films September saw the passing of Tim Burton (when he was good) regular Glenn Shadix, Re-Animator and The Last Starfighter co-star Bunny Summers, the puppeteer behind The Crypt Keeper, Chucky and Chairy Van Snowden, Death Wish 3 and Prince of the City star Kenny Marino, Chinatown's Joe Mantell and Danny Wilde himself (and rumoured cross-dressing pal of Ed Wood Jr.) the legendary Tony Curtis.
Not content with taking those talents from us, The Grim Reaper also waved his deadly scythe at Care Bears voice artiste Billie Mae Richards, Invasion of the Body Snatchers icon Kevin McCarthy, Roger from The Italian Job himself, Mr. Frank Jarvis and James Bacon, the author, journalist and actor best known (by me at least) for his appearances in Escape from the Planet of the Apes and the Sandy Howard classic Meteor.
Snatched from the cut-throat world of teevee was the television producer and writer (best known for The A-Team, The Rockford Files and the Johnny Depp breakthru' show 21 Jump Street) Stephen J. Cannell whereas the comedy scene lost the funny man's funny man (and Danny Kaye fan) Kei Tani.
Musicville was shocked by the deaths of the hunky Belgian singer and first person to score nul points at the Eurovision Song Contest Fud Leclerc and Sir Don of Partridge, world famous one man band, busking recording artiste.
And last but not least was Alvin Lawson, the (out of this) world) famous UFO researcher.
