october stiffs.

Bloody hell Mr. Jeff Reaper's been busy over the last month.

Those Unwell faves falling victim to death last month included William W. Norton, the screenwriter of such classics as Gator and  Brannigan(the movie not the crisps), Brenda Cowling cult actress remembered from her performances in such diverse fodder as Octopussy, The Railway Children, Carry On Girls, and Carry On Behind as well as teevee appearances in Follyfoot, Fawlty Towers, Are You Being Served?, The Legacy of Reginald Perrin and as Mrs. Lipton the cook in the fantastic You Rang, M'Lord?

October also saw the deaths of comedy god Sir Norman of Wisdom, Hammer horror legend Roy Ward Baker, Dutch comic creator Pieter Cornelis Wijn (Kappie, Gloria van Goes, and Douwe Dabbert among others but like you'd need telling if you read this blog) and Manimal himself Simon MacCorkindale.

We're also sad to report the death of Mrs. Big Feet herself, Filipino comedienne Metring David, Black Emanuelle stud Angelo Infanti, Father Dowling and Howard Cunnigham actor (plus Charlie's Angels character) Tom Bosley, Scottish acting behemoth Graham "Soldeeeeeeeeeeed!" Crowden and the founder of Penthouse Magazine and maker of the cock-tastic Caligula Bob 'Bob' Guccione.

From the world of popular music Ari Up, German-born sexy siren of punk spat her last and it landed on the drawing board of Alex Anderson, creator of The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show and Crusader Rabbit.

Back with the wee pictures, American comic book artist Mike Esposito and the creator of Pokémon Takeshi Shudo drew/poked their last as did Hawaii Five-O supercop James MacArthur.

On the other side of the law Brookside and Eastenders 'hardman' and Glaswegian panto-king Gerard Kelly popped his tartan clogs but saddest of all was the death of television writer Mervyn Haisman, co-creator (alongside Henry Lincoln) of top Doctor Who character Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart as well as the villainous robot rape-bots The Quarks, originally seen in only one TV story (The Dominators) these creatures, deemed too scary for the small screen spun off to have even more erotic adventures in the more adult oriented TV Comic.

He wrote some of stuff as well but nothing as great as his Who stuff.

Except maybe the couple of Howards Way episodes he did.
